About Us

To fully understand a business, it’s important to know a little about the individuals behind it. Companies are made of people, and when you choose Weiss Internet, you are choosing us. For that reason, I’d like to take a moment to introduce ourselves. My name is Debbie Sullivan, and my husband, Donald, is president and founder of Weiss Internet. I manage the business operations and customer interface of our company, and Donald is the chief designer of our network.

Donald grew up spending summers on Weiss Lake, and every year since we’ve been married, he and I would visit the lake to vacation. We loved the small, hometown feel and the people we’d meet along the way. We always discussed moving, if given the chance, so when the opportunity arose, we took the leap. What we didn’t anticipate was the internet crisis.

At the time, Donald worked from home as a software developer. His occupation required a solid internet connection, so the struggle to find a remedy began. We grappled with poor internet for a few years. Then, we moved, and what was bad became worse. It was immediately apparent that our only options were to move from the place we wanted to call our forever home or to become the change. We commenced by having private circuits run to our home, a camper at the time since we were building. As comical as it sounds, that camper had the best internet in the neighborhood. Thus, Weiss Internet began.

We pursued more locations for private, fiber circuits and started building our wireless network’s infrastructure. Pole by pole, and tower by tower, Weiss Internet Has grown into a service provider that encompasses the majority of Cherokee County and several surrounding areas, including parts of Dekalb and Etowah counties.

Our service is backed by redundant fiber circuits, providing an unmatched level of reliability in our area. Additionally, our network is built with the latest technology and managed in a way to provide our customers with the best internet experience possible. We serve our customers wirelessly, bypassing all the old wires in the ground or on poles. Being wireless also allows us to reach areas that have previously never had access to high-speed internet. This means more speed in more places! We may have started small, but we have accomplished great measures and are continuing to expand.

Our organization has grown beyond Donald and myself, and we have an excellent crew to maintain all aspects of Weiss Internet.
